The People You Meet in Life

Published December 30, 2013 by adventuresandthoughtbubbles

In your lifespan, you will meet certain types of people who help you get better at surviving at the video game we call life. You may not like all the types of people that you meet, but, they help you grow and shape you into who you are.

1. The Rescuer

This is the person who just magically pops out of no where when you’re having problems. He/she is your knight. Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on, or your favorite candy, this person will do what it takes to make you cheer up. Be warned though, sometimes we abuse this person. We take this person for granted. It’s easy because this person is always there when you need him/her. So take extra caution. When you abuse things or people, they often disappear. Not out of hatred or whatever negative thing though. They will do what it takes to keep you from getting hurt. BUT, they also want you to become a better person. The Rescuer works hand-in-hand with the Guardian Angel sometimes

2. The Guardian Angel

Your guardian angel is the one who warns you when something is about to go wrong, this causes us to often think that they’re buzz kills or goody goodies. But no, They just want to make sure that you stay safe and make the right choices. Next time someone tells you that what you’re about to do something wrong, please don’t brush them off, reconsider what you’re about to do, think about the aftershock of what you’re about to do, consider the people affected. This could save you a lot of trouble of doing something over or trying to repair broken trust.

3. The Needy

These are the people who come to you for help. They help teach you to be strong so you can help them get through their troubles. They come in different forms; your classmate in need of a pen, a puppy begging you to play, a friend in need of advice or a person to listen to her troubles.. You may not know them all. Some might be complete strangers, some you might know, some you might not even like. And it’s your choice if you want to help them or not. You may benefit or not. Just know that they asked you for help for a reason. This is a challenge. It may seem small, but in the help you’ve done, you could’ve kept a person hopeful, you might have kept a person in doubt from doing something drastic.

4. The Switch

The Switch is that person who you never know which side he’s on. One minute, he’s siding with The Enemy, and the next, he’s fending for you. We’ll never understand his patterns of switching. But we know what he’s there to teach us. He’s there to teach us how to put our guards up. He may be the reason of your first heartbreak, or your first fight with your BFF. But in the future, you MIGHT just be glad you met him cause he taught you about his type of person, the type of person you need to protect yourself from. He’s probably one of the people who The Rescuer saved you from and The Guardian Angel warned you about.

5. The Enemy

We all have one. The Enemy in our lives could be the popular girl in school, a family member who is jealous of your abilities, or simply a person who just does not want you to succeed. I know what you’re thinking. ‘How could someone like _____ help me in life?’ Well, let me tell you my dears, The Enemy plays the most important role in our growing as people. They teach us how to defend ourselves. They are the people who tell us we can’t do it. They are the reason we may cry at night. But, they are also the reason we succeed. They are our drive to do better. Let me give you an example: In a high school setting, in the end, doesn’t the ‘loser’ almost always end up in a better place than the popular ones? Like how Jerry ALWAYS beat Tom

These are the people you meet along the way. Who are they in your life?
